This little known horse fact blows people’s minds:

Horses are prey animals.

Their Nervous system is on high alert.

Safety?

They eat.

Danger?

They flee.

In a herd, their heart rates often align. Literally, their hearts beats in sync. If one horse senses danger, the whole herd feels it.

Instantly.

It’s called co-regulation.

And it help humans regulate their heart beats too.

How do you think it feels like to stand in sync with a 500kg animal?
