Counselling for Adults
Counselling with horses, on your feet, not in an office.

Most adults who come here have tried counselling in a room. It helped, or it didn't. Either way, something is still sitting there.

Here you're outdoors and moving, with a horse giving you honest feedback the whole session. You do something, the horse reacts, you adjust, and you feel it shift on the spot.

Some people come because they're holding everyone else and there's nothing left over. Some because the fuse at home keeps winning. You don't have to know what to call it.

This is for you if
-
The gap between calm and furious has got shorter, and you don't know when that happened
-
You're the carer for everyone else, and nobody is caring for you
-
You've talked about it before, and knowing why hasn't changed it
-
You lost someone, or something, and you went straight back to work the next week
-
You want something practical, not a chat

Here's what a session is
You stand in an arena with a horse and a counsellor. Your job: get the horse to walk with you. That's it.

Come in wound up and he plants his feet. Pull harder and he pulls back. You get nowhere, sweating.

Settle yourself, ask again, and he walks with you.

The horse didn't change. You did. And you felt the difference in your body the moment it happened.

That's the session: the same switch you need at home, practised on 500 kilos of horse that doesn't pretend.

The practical bits
Fifty minutes, one to one, with a registered counsellor and member of the Australian Counselling Association. Real counselling, ACT and CBT, delivered outdoors and moving.

All on the ground. No riding, no horse knowledge needed. Private property in the outer east, no waiting room.

271 Bayswater Rd, Bayswater North VIC 3153. Weekdays. Tell us the times you can actually do, and we'll tell you what we can make work.

If you're a therapist thinking of sending someone: sessions run alongside the work your client is already doing with you, the deeper work stays with you, and we're glad to set up a consent to share.
